Mike loves adventure and loves to sail so you can only expect him to go anywhere and everywhere. He has sailed the Aegean Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean Sea, Pacific Ocean (nearshore), Atlantic Ocean (nearshore), and Gulf of Mexico alongside USA inland lakes.
Exciting Events:
- Picking up fellow business executives with their luggage via dinghy after they walked with their luggage a short distance from the airport. Most people need a bus to get from the terminal to the parking garage.
- Sailing past abandoned oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico that are merely pipes out of the water.
- Using Advanced Night Vision Googles to spot abandoned rigs in the gulf during racing.
- Chasing an overboard fender (rubber bumper) as if it were a “man overboard” drill in the Atlantic Ocean/Caribbean interface.
- The rental boat anchor fell overboard and sounded like the engine was seizing.
- Fixing a generator in Noir Point, Martinique using the part of the lifeline as a plumber’s snake. We Texans can’t sleep without A/C in August in Martinique.
- Numerous BVI trips with friends experiencing Lobster by ordering over the Marine VHF radio.
- Diving trips everywhere.
This list goes on forever. Every trip is an adventure and a chance to bond with your friends, both new and old. Mike charishes all of his trips anywhere.
